The transnational project meeting in Cluj-Napoca (M1), 29 - 31 October 2014
The first transnational project meeting was held in Cluj-Napoca, Romania, between 29.10.2014 and 31.10.2014 and it was highly successful since both students and teachers met their goals. At the end of the meeting, we were able to prepare a detailed timetable for future project activities.
Furthermore, both students and teachers established the communication between one another and decided on quality assurance issues. Students created the logo of the project and designed the template for the project flyer and the project poster. There were also some late afternoon and evening activities which permitted the French delegation to visit Cluj-Napoca and to learn more about the Romanian culture.

Learning Activities - short-term exchange of groups of pupils in Cluj-Napoca(C1)
25.01.2015 - 1.02.2015
The first learning mobility for students was held in Cluj-Napoca. Twelve students from Lycée d'Altitude, Briançon, accompanied by two teachers attended the one-week students' exchange. It was a great opportunity for them, as well as for the Romanian students to learn more about mathematics, sciences, research, and languages and shared their findings on their math research topics. They spent seven wonderful days together in which they managed to make new friends, strengthen bonds and enlarge their knowledge about the French and Romanian culture. All the students and teachers enjoyed the learning week and they are eager to carry on this experience.

The transnational project meeting in Paris (M2), 28 - 30 May 2015
The second transnational project meeting was held at the Institut Henri Poincaré de Paris, France, between 28.05.2015 and 30.05.2015. The meeting has been attended by math teachers from the two partner schools, representatives of the MATh.en.JEANS Association and of the Animath Association. During the meeting, the participants shared and discussed the partnership's approach to assessing the competences developed through the math research workshops, improved the elaborated assessment tools, assessed the implemented MeJ workshops within the 2 partner-schools and planned the the elaboration of the first draft of the Guidelines. The participation of the representatives of the MATh.en.JEANS Association and of the Animath Association gave us the possibility to receive feedback from stakeholders on our work and it was a good occasion to disseminate information about our project. The visits at the Palais de la Découverte and at the Salon de la culture et des jeux mathématiques were good opportunities for the math teachers to learn some new hands-on math-activities. During the evenings, the Romanian and French delegations visited Paris and learned about its history and culture.

The transnational project meeting in Briançon (M3), 10 - 12 September 2015
The first transnational project meeting was hosted by Lycée d'Altitude de Briançon, France, between 10.09.2015 and 12.09.2015. During the meeting we evaluated the activities implemented in the 1st year of the project and detailed planned the 2nd year of the project. Students' participation supported the project team in finding solution for improving the students' communication on the research topics and the work on the students' glossary.
Students eleborated the 4th issue of the project Newsletter.
The meeting was highly successful since both students and teachers met their goals. At the end of the meeting, we were able to prepare a detailed timetable for future project activities.

The students exchange was also an opportunity for the Romanian students to practice the French language and to communicate in French with more confidence.

The students exchange was also an opportunity for the Romanian students to practice the French language and to communicate in French with more confidence.

The transnational project meeting in Cluj-Napoca (M4), 14 - 17 June 2016
The fourth transnational project meeting was held in Cluj-Napoca, Romania, between 14.06.2016 and 17.06.2016. The meeting has been attended by two representatives of the MatLan project team from Lycée d'Altitude de Briançon, five representatives of the MatLan project team from Colegiul National Emil Racovita and one representative of the MATh.en.JEANS Association. During the meeting, the participants assessed the project activities implemented in the 2nd year of the project, discussed the results of the action-research process/ piloting of the assessment methods and instruments, discusses the next steps in finalising the Guidelines for assessing students’ skills developed through math research, and detailed planned of the closure and follow-up activities of the project. The meeting has been also a good opportunity for discussing how to continue our project in the next school year.
